About Sherwood

Borne out of a dual passion for children and education, Sherwood was founded in October 1999 by Mrs Atinuke T. Maurice-Diya shortly after retiring from public service as a Vice-Principal within the Lagos State Public Schools system.  Through over 10 years of existence, Sherwood has become the template for developing complete intellectuals by nurturing them in their youth by inspiring academic, athletic and spiritual discipline.

Sherwood is a private co-educational school founded on the principles of outstanding academic and moral standards for students between the ages of 3 and 16 years. Students of Sherwood are from a wide range cultures and backgrounds united in the common aim of receiving education of the highest calibre and are prepared fully to secure their academic future.
